British twit calls for assassination of President Bush

Here's a Brit who should be taken out to a dark alleyway in the middle of the night and have the holy crap kicked out of him. This columnist is actually calling for an assassination of a head of state.

Charlie Brooker The Guardian (UK) Saturday October 23, 2004

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?

For a news outlet to permit -- and print -- this type of comment is immoral and inexcusable. I strongly condemn this writer's comments, and the Guardian for publishing it.
