WSJ OpinionJournal:
Excellent commentary by Daniel Henninger regarding John Kerry's empty statement in his DNC acceptance speech - "Let there be no mistake: I will never hesitate to use force when it is required. Any attack will be met with a swift and certain response."
To steal Henninger's response -- Big Deal.
The real issue is whether or not John Kerry would decisively move on information and order a pre-emptive attack to protect the USA.
In his campaign's Plan for America, all Kerry says about pre-emption is that it has "driven away our allies and cost us the support of other nations."
With all due respect Senator Kerry, the respect of other nations won't prevent future attacks on our nation -- especially when both sides of the aisle agree future terror attacks are inevitable.
Our world has changed, and the United States cannot afford a leader who will not do whatever he can to protect our citizenry. This is why President Bush should be re-elected.
