"Rock should never be in bed with politics"

WorldNetDaily: Alice Cooper delivers the best quote about activist musicians I've ever heard.

"If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."

There's nothing that ticks me off so much as Hollywood/Entertainment folks who spout off their politics. Hey Whoopi, Alec, and Barbara -- not to mention Janeene and Al -- If I want an enlightened opinion, I'll read the Wall Street Journal or watch the Lerher Report. If I want an opinion about smoking pot, extra-marital affairs or how to act like a diva, I'll ask you.

John Sayes has a movie coming out next month called Silver City. It's about a candidate that is a carbon-copy of the liberal opinion of President Bush. Sayles said, "I based the character on Bush because I wanted people to connect the dots between the movie and what's going on in our country." Movie co-star, Maria Bello, when asked if she's nervous about playing such a partisan role, states "I'd be happy to be part of any film that helps get George Bush out of office."

Memo to Ms. Bello -- You were great in The Cooler, but you've got way too much an opinion of yourself if you think your role in a fictional hatchet job of a movie will sway a voter's decision.

Memo to the voter who's decision may be swayed by Ms. Bello's role: Give Alice Cooper a call. Maybe there's still hope for you.
