The Governor and First Lady help seven year-old Ariana Pole of Hoopa hang the final ornament on the California State Christmas tree. Ariana was born in 1997 with cerebral palsy.
During his tenure as Governor, Gray Davis never had a State Christmas Tree. He always had a State of California "Holiday" tree. That gutless tradition changed on December 2nd when Governor Schwarzenegger dedicated the State of California Christmas Tree.
There's been far too many attempts -- many successful -- to remove our nation's Judeo-Christian heritage from the public arena. The ACLU sues Los Angeles County to remove a small cross from the county seal. A school in the Bay Area has barred a teacher from teaching students about the Declaration of Independence because it mentions "God." And far too many other ridiculous items to mention. . .
Thank you Governor for reminding us December 25 is more than a day off for the labor unions. Keep up the fight for common sense over the asinine politically correct crowd.
